Pray for Launch
The Launch sermon series will look at how we as a church are going to rally together to support the next generation of kids and students.
As you know, we recently purchased the entire facility and now our space has almost doubled! This was a miraculous step in the adventure that God has called us to and will allow us to reach out to families in a way that we never have before.
This week on Facebook, Lance asked what was the craziest thing you ever did for someone you love. I want to flip the question. “What’s the craziest thing someone has ever done for you?”
When it comes to fun and exciting memories/traditions, who brings the “joy” in your home?
Raise your hands if you were involved in a church Children’s ministry as an Elementary age kid.
What about a Youth Ministry as a teenager?
How did that church positively impact you?
What were some of your favorite memories from that time?
What makes it more difficult to be a kid/teen in the culture today compared to when you were their age?
Lance made the comment, “We can’t do ministry the same way we did it 50 or even 5 years ago.” What do you think he meant by that statement?
If it truly is our responsibility is to be the hands and feet of Jesus and make an Impact on this community how are we doing as a church?
How are you doing as a family?
How are you doing individually?
Have someone read (Psalm 78:1-7)
What are you doing today to pass on the history of God’s work to the next generation?
What if you don’t have any kids? Are you still expected to participate in God’s plan to reach the next generation?
Answer: Yes, in some ways the “family of God” supersedes even our biological families.
Why is it important for children & students to see committed adults loving God and serving Him on a regular basis?
What makes you think Reality Church is uniquely positioned to reach out to families like never before?
Have someone read (Matthew 18:1-6)
What is the difference between Childish and Childlike? How were the disciples acting?
How do we become more childlike in Christ?
This passage also talks about protecting the next generation... In what ways does the church protect kids?
Be creative and discuss ideas about how your family could get involved in Launch. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Have an at-home gourmet meal of PBJ sandwiches instead of going to a restaurant as a family and donate the money you would have spent.
Only accept (1) birthday gift and ask everyone else to gift you cash (which you use for Launch).
Cancel that crazy expensive cable or satellite bill and switch to a streaming service like Hula, Sling TV, etc. Use the difference for Launch.
What are some other ideas?
