“A mouth open in unceasing prayer will result in open eyes that see faith clearly. So pray in the darkness, even if there seems to be no hope of light.” Charles Spurgeon, Life in Christ: Lessons From our Lord’s Miracles and Parables
Paul knew the importance of prayer. He talked about it all the time! In Ephesians 1:18 (NIV), he says, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…” He knew prayer opens our eyes to see clearly God’s world, purposes, and plan. Prayer during a time of darkness and pain, can and will open our eyes and bring hope.
